Yin Haifang, Professor of Tianjin Medical University, New Century Outstanding Talents of Ministry of Education, Special Professor of Tianjin, Tianjin “ 131” The First Level Candidate of Innovative Talent Training Project, Tianjin “ 131” Innovation team leader. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Biotechnology, China Agricultural University in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Medical Research Council Clinical Sciences Research Centre, Imperial University London, UK. From 2005 to 2009, he worked at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, University of Oxford, UK, as Research Group Leader, Technical Director of Sophos Biology, and Junior Research Fellow at Somerville College, University of Oxford. He has won the Outstanding Performance Award of Oxford University for many times. He returned to China in 2010 and now works as professor and doctoral supervisor of Basic Medical Research Center of Tianjin Medical University, temporary deputy director of Basic Medical Research Center and PI of Tianjin-Oxford Gene Therapy Joint Laboratory. He is also a member of the nano-oncology Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, an executive member of the International Translational Medicine Society, and a member of the Chinese Society of Animal Biotechnology. He has been engaged in biomedical and pharmaceutical research for a long time, mainly studying gene therapy and drug transportation of muscular dystrophy. The antisense oligonucleotide drugs he participated in the development of are currently in phase III clinical trials.
